The wind and open air in general are bigger problems on the Blackstone compared to the CC. The grease system is aggravating on the blackstone in comparison. Having to light 4 burners just to get the far right burner to ignite(my preferred side) gets a bit old.

Why? The ignition system is superior on the CC. I have a blackstone and LOVE it, but after spending some time I most likely will be getting a camp chef the next time I buy another griddle. Mainly will be used for hotdogs, burgers, steaks and what ever else my little heart desires or I find might be interesting to cook on it. I will keep it stored in my garage and it will not be used for camping or anything like that. What do you like or dislike and how is maintenance and clean up on either model? I guess what I am asking is for those that have both or one or the other. Also, I read that there are some heat issues with the CC running to hot and then the blackstone's grease dripping issue.īoth currently are similar in price.

Its normally just myself except when family comes into town which is quite often hence the 36' model.įrom what I got from the other thread is that the CC has a Steel griddle and the Blackstone is Cast Iron?
